How Does The New School Montessori Stay Alive and Well?

Fundraising

Fundraising is an important part of The New School Montessori’s operations.  Costs often exceed general tuition income and therefore make it necessary that we engage all members of our community in our fundraising efforts.  Current parent, grandparent, friend or visitor to our website, we encourage you to review the many opportunities that are available for anyone wishing to support our fundraising efforts and perhaps more importantly, our core values and mission.

Please click on any of the following links to go to a particular page where you can learn about anyone of our specific fundraising campaigns.  If you choose to donate on line, please feel confident that your information is secure and protected.  Additionally, please feel free to contact us at on line at info@thenewschool.cc or by phone at 513.281.7999 if you have comments or questions about how you can participate.

Independence and Finances

The New School Montessori acts independently and operates without tax revenues from city, state or federal government.  As with all independent schools, tuition at The New School Montessori does not cover all of the operating expenses.  TNSM is supported through tuition income, fundraising income and Annual Giving.  A small amount of expenses are covered by a state reimbursement allowance.

It is necessary to operate in a financially sound manner so that we can continue offering the exceptional education for which we are recognized.  The responsibility for insuring this fiscal stability belongs to all members of TNSM community.  Parents, grandparents, friends and alumni directly benefit current students and help guarantee that TNSM will continue to serve children in the future by participating in any or all of our fundraising campaigns.

Our costs tend to increase at a rate above that of inflation because so much of the budget goes to staffing expenses.  We want to preserve an economically diverse school community, so we try to keep tuition increases at a reasonable level without jeopardizing our high quality program.  To do this, The New School Montessori relies on other sources, specifically Annual Giving and fundraising, to cover the difference between tuition and operating expenses.
